what a month...

I guess it's about time to post on here again. I don't have much to say about March except that it went by in a whirlwind. It really felt like it was only 2 weeks long. But, after a much slower week this past week, I can say that I have recovered and I'm enjoying having some time to think again!

Our move went really smoothly, but I guess that was kind of expected since it's probably the easiest move we'll ever make. It was in the same building, on the same floor, with the same layout as the place we rented (and it ended up being a great day to have an all-indoor move because we woke up to snow flakes flying!). With a dolly, a moving cart, 2 shopping carts (that's right - shopping carts!), and 7 people, we were done in a few hours. While the guys moved the final big items, some of the others tackled some cleaning and I started unpacking. I think we managed to have almost all the boxes unpacked the same day. The blessings of the same layout - no decisions! Everything already had an established home.

Here's proof of the snow, and one of the shopping carts, partially loaded:

In addition to being able to put the crazy semester and moving behind, this weekend we were treated to some glorious sunshine and warm temperatures - and I mean warm! I think Saturday in Abby we got to 25 - no sweaters or jackets needed, and even pants felt a bit too warm. We spent the weekend reconnecting with friends, which I realized that I really needed. With living in Richmond and hardly being to Abby this past month, I really missed spending good quality time with friends. I spent the afternoon with a couple close friends, enjoying the sunshine at a local park while Mark had fun with other friends and air soft guns. :)

Here's a few fun shots from the day (if you look closely at the first shot, you can see a small turtle in the bottom left corner relaxing on the log):

Today, I started tackling an assignment for my next semester of school (which involves 3 online classes - not 5!). Then I motivated myself to go for a walk to enjoy the sunshine. Not quite as warm as the weekend, but still perfect for being outside. I explored a new area around our condo and inquired at a local gym where I'm considering getting a membership. I've been feeling very out-of-shape and lazy lately, and I'm thinking some regular exercise will really help my moods. On the way home, I discovered a great park that's only a few minutes away from our place. It's still somewhat under construction, but much of it is done. In a way, it reminds me of Mill Lake on a slightly smaller scale. It'll be a great place to relax with a book or go for a run. No pictures of that though, since I didn't have my camera.

This past month I've had lots of ideas for posting here but was too swamped by life to actually post them - hopefully I'll be able to get to them this month.
